Enrolment Procedures - Second Trimester AY 2021-2022

Classes for second trimester AY 2021-2022 start on January 16, 2022.

Regular enrolment  is now ongoing until January 15, 2022. You can enrol online or on campus. Follow the linked enrolment procedures. 

Refer a friend to get a 10% grant, or a sibling for a 5% grant on your tuition fees. For more inquiries on grants, feel free to call 1778 7950 or email syhussain@utb.edu.bh.

MATLAB, Simulink and additional Resources for Individual End Users

AMA International University Bahrain has a Campus-Wide License for MATLAB, Simulink, and add-on products. Faculty, researchers, and students may use these products for teaching, research, and learning. The license allows individuals to install the products on university-owned equipment, as well as personally owned computers.

About MATLAB and Simulink

MATLAB, the language of technical computing, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a graphical environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain dynamic and embedded systems. MathWorks produces nearly 100 additional products for specialized tasks such as data analysis and image processing.

End Users Instructions

End User: Download the Installer

  • Go to our MATLAB Portal. Select ‘Sign in to get started’ under the Get MATLAB and Simulink section.
  • Log into your MathWorks account that is associated to your University license. (Note – you may be asked to login with your university credentials first).
  • Click the download button for the current release. (Users can also download previous releases here).
  • Choose a supported platform and download the installer.

End User: Install and Activate

  • Run the installer.
  • In the installer, select Log in with a MathWorks Account and follow the online instructions.
  • When prompted to do so, select the Academic – Total Headcount license labeled Individual.
  • Select the products you want to download and install.
  • After downloading and installing your products, keep the Activate MATLAB checkbox selected and click Next.
  • Follow the prompts to activate MATLAB.

Additional License Options:
Some of the license options made available with the campus-wide license cannot be accessed using the MATLAB portal and require additional steps. This includes:

  • MATLAB Parallel Server: The MATLAB Parallel Server Campus-Wide License provides campus-wide access to MATLAB Parallel Server and allows every user on campus to run an unlimited number of simultaneous workers (MATLAB processes) on clouds and university-owned clusters.
  • MATLAB Production Server: The MATLAB Parallel Server Campus-Wide License provides campus-wide access to MATLAB Parallel Server and allows every user on campus to run an unlimited number of simultaneous workers (MATLAB processes) on clouds and university-owned clusters.
  • MATLAB Web App Server: The MATLAB Parallel Server Campus-Wide License provides campus-wide access to MATLAB Parallel Server and allows every user on campus to run an unlimited number of simultaneous workers (MATLAB processes) on clouds and university-owned clusters.
  • Polyspace:  Polyspace static code analysis products use formal methods to prove the absence of critical run-time errors under all possible control flows and data flows. 
  • RoadRunner: RoadRunner is an interactive editor that lets you design 3D scenes for simulating and testing automated driving systems. You can customize roadway scenes by creating region-specific road signs and markings.

Entering & Leaving the University

 

I. Gate

Stop at the main gate and present student ID/certificate of registration or CPR to the security guard for identity checking.

Security guard will provide Covid-19 form to the students.

Students are allowed for Admission, Registration, Accounting, IT, Library & Dean’s Offices.

II. Parking Area

Park the vehicle at the parking areas below:

III. Main Entrance

Students

Present student ID/certificate of registration to the security guard for the checking of laboratory classes from an excel file. Laptop will be provided for easy verification.

If   name is in the list,   proceed for thermal scanning station and fill out form for “Temperature”.

Submit completely filled out CoVID-19 form with Temperature reading to the security guard in the thermal scanning station.

If name is not in the list, the student should be advised to leave the university. Also, student is advised to leave the university if his/her temperature is more than 37.5 degrees Celsius.

Student may now proceed to the assigned laboratory room.

Use the stairway at the West Wing when going up to first (1st) floor and second (2nd) floor. Use of the lift is not advised.

For any inquiry, please approach the “Help Desk”.

IV. Laboratory Room

Use hand sanitizers before entering and leaving the laboratory room.

Observe social distancing of at least 1.5 meters.

Follow the instructions of your teacher.

V. Library

Use hand sanitizers before entering and leaving the library.

Observe social distancing of at least 1.5 meters.

Follow the instructions of your librarian.

VI. Exit

Use the stairway and exit door at the North Wing when leaving the university.

Do not stay  in the university more than 15 minutes once  laboratory class or work or business transaction is finished.
